How to Install Car Stereo Speaker Parts
Installing aftermarket speakers of the car stereo can be an interesting experience both during the installation
process, and learning how to maintain them. As with anything that you need to learn to concentrate on your own, the installation process for aftermarket car stereos speakers will teach you what you need to hear when one or more speakers do not work when the balance is incorrect or simply the time to replace part of your system's audio. Things you will need:
pair of front speakers
pair of rear speakers
20 feet
Screwdriver Speaker cord Screws
Step-1: Remove the stereo from the dashboard mounting. Depending on the type of stereo you have, this step can vary widely, but for most stereo shares, the entire dashboard facade should pop off, revealing two or more screws holding the stereo in place. If you have an aftermarket stereo, there is usually a tool that comes with the stereo will allow you to take the stereo from the dashboard without damaging the car or stereo. Step-2: correct wiring is by far the most important step for installing speakers in your car. Identify the color coded wiring to your stereo using the wiring diagram that comes with your stereo. These charts can be found online, and is usually easier to find for common vehicles, like Honda and Toyota. The chart will determine which route cables in which speakers. For each speaker, there will be two wires; A warm, or (-) negative side, and a cold, or (+) positive side. So if there are four speakers in your car (the average number), there should be a couple (+) and (-) for a right speaker front, a rear right speaker, a front left speaker, and a rear left speaker, making a total of eight speaker cables. Step-3: Measure the necessary length of speaker cable to run the cable from the outs speaker cable connected to your stereo speakers anywhere you want to install will be housed. This could mean anywhere from running a cable from the stereo in a panel door 3 feet away to run a cable from the stereo in a rear speaker 20 feet away in the trunk of your car. Be sure to label which cable you connected to the (+) side, which cable you have connected to the (-) side. Most speakers have a white line to show the difference between each wire. Step-4: Unscrew each panel used to cover the face aesthetic of speakers that you want to replace (where would the wires from the stereo to) must have run. When exposed the old speakers, remove them with your screwdriver, and to find the wires that ran from your stereo front, and then connect the wiring to the new speakers are installing right now. The traditional car stereo speaker will have the (+) and (-) side are indicated by color or size (usually hot (-) side is red and / or manufactured by a tab that is slightly smaller than the (+) side , which is also often black). Be careful to connect the cable (-) to (-) side of the speaker, and the (+) wire to the (+) side of the speaker, or could damage your stereo in the long run. Do this for all the speakers you install. Step-5: Mount your speakers securely using your screwdriver and screws, being careful not to pierce the speakers (a slip of the hand could lead the screwdriver into the cup of the speaker). Step-6: Replace any aesthetic speaker covers can be removed during the installation process of the speakers, as well as any of the face plating stereo that can be removed to connect the stereo with speakers. Step-6: Hear something in your stereo, and to diagnose any problems that may be caused by poor installation. More immediately, if there is a blown fuse, you hear heavy buzzing and static, especially when the car is turned on. This can be remedied by replacing the fuse on the back of your stereo. You can also use balance and fade functions of your stereo to check each individual speaker to make sure that all the speakers are working. If you find that one or more speakers do not work, detecting the installation process, and make sure your wiring is correct, both behind the stereo and behind the speakers.
