How do I install the Subwoofer for a 2004 Cadillac CTS

Improve the bass on your stereo Cadillac system by installing a subwoofer. Placing a subwoofer and a

subwoofer box in your Cadillac next to other upgrades your stereo will create a great system for playing all kinds of music. The subwoofer provides the low end for the stereo system and while the placement is not as critical as with other components, it is important to have insurance in place, so as not to make noise or noise when in use. The most common location for the subwoofer is in the trunk.

Things you will need:

• Subwoofer

• Subwoofer box Screwdriver

• Screws

• Speaker wire

• Wood Glue

• Fabric Glue

• Heavy Velcro

Step-1: Measure the space in the trunk of the Cadillac. Ensure that the subwoofer box has enough space to hold the position you want to place it. The most common place is in front of the torso, near the back seats, but you can also consider placement along one side so that you can continue to use the boot with the rear seats down, or you may need to place it elsewhere, if your amplifier is in the trunk. Step-2: Wire the terminal cover on the back of the box speaker to the speaker terminals. Place the subwoofer in position on the subwoofer box and lock it in place with screws. Step-3: Glue heavy with Velcro at the bottom of the subwoofer box using wood glue to keep it in place. Glue two respective Velcro strips on the trunk mat, where you would like the speaker to sit with fabric glue. Step-4: Run the speaker cable from the back of the amplifier to the position you are placing the subwoofer box. The route takes the wire will depend on where the amplifier and speakers are mounted. If both the trunk, then the wire can be run under the carpet. The cables can be run through the cabin with teasing the edge of the carpet or cut with the screwdriver and placing the cable underneath. Step-5: Connect the cables in the terminal cover at the rear of the speaker box and hold the speaker in place on the Velcro. The Velcro and the carpet will prevent the box from the busy against any hard surfaces.
