How To Connect A Sub-Woofer Deck Stock

Subwoofers add bass in a car audio system, making for a well-rounded stereo. If you wish to form the best possible sound, there is a panel that provide power subwoofer can provide. When you add a subwoofer to a stock (or factory) stereo deck, you should either add or powered subs have an amplifier already a part of your system. Whichever way you choose to go, you can override the services of a sound engineer and install your own subs.

Things you will need:

  • Amplifier Wiring Kit

  • Wiring Adapter

  • Phillips Screwdriver

  • Coating Removal Tool

  • Drill

  • Rubber Grommets Wire

  • Speaker 10 millimeters Key

Step-1: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the vehicle battery. Use a Phillips screwdriver or 10 mm wrench to loosen the cable clamp. Remove the clamp from the negative battery cable. Step-2: Connect the ring terminal with connected power cable (from the amplifier wiring kit) to the positive battery cable. Step-3: Pass the power cable from the engine compartment to the interior cabin of the vehicle. Some vehicles have an opening already through which you can route the cable. If your car does not have an opening, open an opening and insert a hose into the hole to protect the cable. Step-4: Remove the vehicle stereo from the dashboard. Consult the owner's manual of your vehicle for specific removal instructions for your vehicle. Pull the stereo far enough away from the board to reach the cables on the back deck. Step-5: Disconnect the wiring from the back of the stereo. There are only cables (power and antenna) and bundled wiring (speakers). Pull the cables and groups of the white plastic binders. Step-6: Plug the stereo wiring from the vehicle to a wiring adapter. The adapter will be clearly marked to show where the proper connections to be made. Connect the wiring leading to the stock stereo. Step-7: Connect the signal cable and activation for lead (included with the amp wiring kit) to the wiring adapter. Pass the signal and turn-on lead cables from the back of the stereo dock to the vehicle floor. Step-8: Lift the carpet from the floor of the vehicle used by the investment panel removal tool. Route the wires from the stereo and the power from the battery under the carpet at the back of the vehicle. Route the signal cable and the power cable on opposite sides of the vehicle to avoid interference. Step-9: the powered sub in the trunk of the car. Connect the ground cable (amp wiring kit) from the sub to a bolt in the trunk. You may need to remove a section of the carpet to find a bolt connected directly to the chassis. Step-10: Connect the signal cable, turn-on lead and the power lead to the sub. Step-11: Replace the stereo in the dashboard. Step-12: the negative battery cable around the negative lead post of the battery. Tighten the cable clamp around the lead with a Phillips screwdriver or 10 mm wrench. Step-13: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery negative lead. Step-14: the subwoofer on the back of the SUV cargo area, or the trunk of the car. Step-15: Connect the amplifier with the subs in a parallel circuit configuration. A parallel circuit connection means (via speaker wire) to the negative output of the amplifier to the negative input to the first sub. Connect the positive to the positive contribution of the first sub. Connect the negative inputs of the two coming together (through speaker cable). Connect the positive inputs of the two coming together (also via speaker cables). Step-16: Replace the negative battery cable around the negative battery cable. Tighten the cable clamp with a Phillips screwdriver or 10 mm wrench.
